The Boat
Zeus is an Infiniti 52 offshore racing yacht campaigned by a highly experienced international crew drawn from the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Designed by Hugh Welbourn, the Infiniti 52 combines cutting-edge performance with offshore capability, featuring the innovative Dynamic Stability System (DSS) that enhances both speed and stability. Zeus has become a regular competitor on the U.S. West Coast offshore circuit, racing extensively in California and Hawaii while continuing to evolve as a high-performance offshore program.
The team enters the 2026 Pacific Cup following a strong California Offshore Race Week campaign, recording three-line honours victories and an overall handicap win in the Coastal Cup. While results are always welcome, the primary focus of the program is continuous improvement, teamwork and the challenge of offshore racing at the highest level.
For many of the crew, the Pacific Cup represents one of offshore sailing's great adventures: a fast downwind passage from San Francisco to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The race combines tactical decision-making, seamanship, endurance and teamwork across more than 2,000 nautical miles of open Pacific Ocean.
Zeus arrives at the start line with a crew that blends world-class offshore experience with a passion for learning and pushing performance. The campaign places a strong emphasis on preparation, safety, sportsmanship and enjoying the unique camaraderie that only offshore racing can provide.
The team is looking forward to testing themselves against an outstanding fleet and embracing everything that makes the Pacific Cup one of the world's premier ocean races.
