Boat building and sailing started at an early age for me, I helped my dad build my first boat at the age of 7 and I have been enjoying both the building and sailing of boats ever since.

I have enjoyed how Pacific Cup has grown over the years, I raced on Magic Carpet as skipper in the 1984, 86, 88 races and came back to race as skipper on Rage in 1994, 96, 98, 2002, and 2008.I did do one Transpac in 1993 and a Tahiti in 2012.

I had retired from building boats until Dave Raney the owner of Rage at that time asked if I would build him a new boat. That was a hard question for a kid of my age but here we are looking forward to this years Pac Cup.
